When he got back from the field a sergeant told him and some of his buddies that they were going to Fort Bragg to become paramedics. So happy and excited until the next day another sergeant came and told them none of them were going to Ft. Bragg.
This is how the military rolls but it's hard to hear the disappointment in his voice on the phone. The good news is that Sam gets to come home for a visit before going to Fort Bliss. He is already rethinking his plans and thinking more about a nursing degree.
I told Sam that there is a reason God is having him go to Fort Bliss, we just don't know why yet. God's plans for Sam are made.
Sam is in the center.
Sam is on the left.
Sam is third from the left, enjoying a soldier's recliner.
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3: 5-6

Love the Proverbs verse. I am sure you are very proud of Sam! I wish him the best.
You are right, Soldier's Mom... Won't it be great to find out the reason why? :D
Best wishes to Sam, and congrats on graduating as a medic...too cool!
Oh I hope it's God's plan to send Sam to Bliss and not Bragg to keep him from deploying to the War!
Congrats to Sam & thank him for of all the choices he could have made for his chosen path, he choose to serve God & this Great Country!
So very exciting that he's on the way for the next (part of) his great adventure and how wonderful he gets to come home for a visit. :)
Good job Sam! These guys look really tough....maybe it's the haircut and camo gear. I'm glad they are protecting us. :)
Thank Sam for all he's doing! We appreciate it.
Nice pics of Sam! Jeff said it brought back lots of good memories of his army days.
Praying for God's direction in his life and looking forward to seeing him in a couple weeks.
