Countdown

You may have noticed that little counter on the left side of my blog. The Hawaii countdown. Since it is 50 days away today I decided to try on swimsuits this morning. What was I thinking? I bought them at the end of the season last year because we had bought our plane tickets. Swimsuit purchases are a BIG deal for moi and I needed a head start. One of them is the classic black suit, definitely not enough miracle in that one. A blue one I got last summer is okay and the final one is a tropical, miracle promising, big dollar suit. I like it. It is brown on the bottom and a pretty tropical pink print on the top. Just need less of me in it. Anyway, when I bought it I googled the model number to try and find the perfect cover up, no deal but I did find out something exciting about my suit. It was the official suit for the Mrs. America Pageant in 2006. I'm a little behind the times and I am okay with being two years behind in the fashionable swimwear world. Here is the glitch. If other sunbathers in Waikiki see me in this suit will they wonder if I was actually in the Mrs. America Pageant? Will they shake their heads and ask, "How could she have let herself go?" Or maybe, "Why is she still wearing that suit, she should get over herself and stop reminding the world that she was a contestant?" Or possibly, "Mmmm, another chubby middle aged woman trying to look like Mrs. America in that suit." I just can't decide. Nonetheless, I am wearing it anyway and I found a flirty wrap mini to tie around my waist with it. So there!
