For boot camp this morning I wore my new running shoes. I got them at Sole Obsession, Kelly's store. I actually wear out shoes running these days.
Today we were in the gym and Robb decides we are gong to play basketball. I am not athletic, I am a short, white, chubby lady very close to fifty so I am groaning.
It was wild. Melinda was not on my team and she is rough. Like there is nothing nice about Mel on the court, nothing. I think that is how she got into the Northwest College Basketball Hall of Fame. Whatever. Sheri played in high school and Karen did too. Sheri has some moves, no doubt. Karen played back in the day when girls had manners. She is not as rough as those chicks but she did score.
Anyway, we play, it's wild and Robb says, "next shot wins."
Back and forth, it's ugly, people.
Then Robb passes to me, (the pressure, people), I have the ball, poetry in motion, and tah dah--- "She shoots, she scores!"
I. MADE. THE. WINNING. BASKET. Yes, me! The short, chubby, white chick with NO moves, who has never ever scored during a game...made the shot!
The glory, the moment, you can't imagine.
So, um yes, Melinda, you were beat by me, in a freaking basketball game.
Okay, I'm done. But it was such a moment.

Secondly, you forgot to mention the 3 times I stole the ball away from you.
Finally, I will be coming up with a defense for the next game that will stop both you and Robb, who was also talkin' smack after the game.

Ok..now that is too funny. I sorta have a visual of your face when the ball went through the net - surpriiiize! and then Mel's face...shock and awe...lolol.
