'The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society' written by Mary Ann Shafer and Annie Barrows is a treat. I don't usually share my thoughts on a book before I finish reading the book, but this is the exception. I am really enjoying this book, the entire story is told using letters. The story takes place in Guernsey in 1946, after the Nazi occupation.
In a word, this story is- 'clever'. A delightful read that I wanted to share because it is a great gift idea for Grandma, Mom, sisters and friends and your book club this Christmas.
I can't let it slip how it turns out because I haven't finished the book. Gotta go, gotta read!

I'd love to get it for my mom for Christmas! Since my dad died she's been running out of books to read in those wee morning hours when she can't sleep :-{! Where could I get it?
I had some book money and bought a few books tonight...I picked this one up b/c of your glowing review this afternoon. I am looking forward to it being my December read...
And Janice - at Barnes and Noble it is 20% off! :)
