On Sunday we went to the folks' church and had cake (delicious) and coffee with their church. *And the people you can run into in Quincy...well enough said. Anyway, after church we had Dutch food for lunch. At least what my brother-in-law considers to be Dutch food, ham buns. Lot of salads and other goodies too.
It was great to see Max this weekend. He is working on the farm and has been there since graduation. I was very proud of my guys this weekend. They are teens and it was a lot of family, inquiring aunts, a lot waiting, hurrying up, introductions, dressing up and more waiting, but they were nothing but gracious and polite. The picture is of Daniel (nephew), Aunt Laura(we picked her up in Seattle to reduce our carbon footprint), Max and Sam (he has already lost his dress shirt). They are waiting to leave the winery, which we did finally leave without the hubby. The vineyard and the Columbia River are in the background.
This morning it was back to boot camp, where I had a ton of remorse for all the cake, wine, goodies.
