Something Icky

Yesterday I went to Walmart. You may be thinking so what, big deal, poor you, lucky you, unless you know me.

I don't do Walmart. It creeps me out.

One day my friend went to Walmart and saw something icky. She told me about it and since then I can't go there. I couldn't risk seeing what she saw.

Yesterday I needed a fitted black sheet. Walmart carries those. So, I went. And nothing bad happened, The checker was very pleasant, no lines, wasn't crowded and I didn't see anything icky. Also, didn't see any black fitted sheets. So, while it wasn't successful it wasn't icky either. Can't have everything.

So, what was so icky to keep me out of Walmart? It was a woman who was sooo overweight that her belly was hanging out of the bottom of her shorts. Did you just throw up a little in your mouth?

Moving, Cleaning, Whining

Besides the Easter bunnies, the dust bunnies were multiplying too. At an alarming pace.

Last night we moved Sam. Today I am moving Max. This room switcheroo has been grueling and I realize you are all tired of hearing about it. Tough! It's my blog and I'll whine if I want to. The washer and dryer are in a constant state, lots of washing with the move. And cleaning, lots of cleaning.

The truly mortifying part of this whole move, my house is filthy! It is sick. Old houses get dusty and old houses with wood stoves get really, really dusty. More mortifying is the amount of junk that accumulates when I'm not looking.

My advice today is don't go in your teens rooms. Not to clean. Not for love nor money. Ignorance is bliss and I wish I were still in that state.

Next week, the after photos. I say that to commit myself. Must finish this project.

REI+WWU+IRS etc.

Last night Caleb and Emilyn were over to our house. I sent them home with a race car set, a box of movies and Bibles. We don't need the Preschool Bible anymore and Em was thrilled.
We watched 'Baby's Day Out', a strange little movie. I'm not sure if it is considered slapstick or violent. Maybe Amie should preview those movies before showing them to the kids. Our guys watched them, enough said.

Yesterday we were going to take the guys to SeaTac when Tyler's Grandparents offered to take them. Hubby and I ended up in Bellingham. Trying to finish upstairs, buying bedding, bits and pieces. Because if we don't finish soon I will drop my basket. Just like Vivie. I'll wake up in a hotel after a drinking binge with nothing but my fur coat.

Speaking of random...
It was a random trip.
*REI for snowshoes. Thanks honey, I love them.
*WWU for a quick familiarization tour. Hubby has a test at the university next week and needed to know where to go. Amazing but true, the summer of 1982 came back to me and I was really familiar.
*IRS for help. Refund was supposed to be direct deposited last week, apparently THEY made a mistake and typed the incorrect routing number. The IRS agent was very helpful and polite. Go figure.
*BB&B-Bed, Bath & Beyond for bedding. And Target, Macy's, Kohl's and JC Penney.

The attic cleaning is pretty much finished. Now Sam and Max are trading bedrooms. The whole thing is starting to make moi very, very cranky. With myself since all of this was my idea. The other thing making me cranky, a bird. A stupid bird caught in the chimney and freaking out. Fly up, you idiot!

It will be so great, when it is finished.

I found Sam's second grade notebook. This what he wrote on December 14, 1998. I've used his spelling and punctuation.

Things I Want...

2. All games.
3. globe
4. two weeks off
5. beenie babies

Things I don't want...
1. Barbies
2. little sister
3. an unmerry christmas
4. bad luck
5. Our house to fall down

Looks like Sam has pretty much gotten everything he ever wanted.

M.I.C.K.E.Y. mouse! Sing it!

Max and his BFF(maybe guys don't say BFF? anyway), Tyler are going to Disneyland this week. I am positively green with envy. Love the happiest place on earth. It's fun, it's clean, it's clever. What's not to love? Max and Tyler will have a ball. Tyler's Dad, Brian, a saint, obviously, is going to LA on business and is gracious enough to take Tyler and Max.

Of course, I had to get the Disney scrapbook out, for the memories. Max hasn't gone for ten years. He was just a little guy.

Now, he is doing the whole, "what are you doing after the superbowl?" thing. I'm goin' to didneyland. We may get tired of hearing that this week.
Oh, and the ears. Of course, they were in the attic!

What's Up Doc?

Rabbits can multiply quickly. Apparently, in my attic rabbits can multiply very quickly. My guys have grandmas that love them and they received some bunnies at Easter over the years. Well, you do the math, three guys times X number of Easters= a bunny invasion. Add to this equation a mama that keeps everything and what do you get? A big box of bunnies.
Also, found 15 Easter baskets. Not kidding. Not included in that number, my basket. Like my basket from when I was a girl. Seriously.

Now, what do I do? Keep all, some, none? I could be the bunny lady at our church this Easter and give every boy and girl an Easter bunny. That's goofy. Never mind.
Is it enough that the guys have good Easter memories and lots of pictures of them with their bunnies?
Some bunny help me.
