The girls only plan to go NOwhere have been put on hold, we are all moms and aunties, we get it, stuff happens, kiddos come first, we'll go on Monday.
However, while I'm on the phone adjusting plans I dropped the half and half (full, of course) as I was taking it out of the fridge.
It is everywhere, I'll be finding spots on the walls for months kind of everywhere. Seriously.
I empty the fridge, wipe everything down. At this point I'm having a pity party for one because yea, I thought I was going Nowhere with girls only and now I am cleaning the fridge. And my house needs cleaning, and I'm home so today may as well be the day...
I have just about everything back in the fridge when I drop the yogurt.
Just a teeny tiny yoplait, but when it hits the ground there is a far reaching splat, down the shelves and on the floor. I think it hit every shelf on its way to the floor. Yep, sure enough, every shelf. Even underneath shelves. Clever little yoplait. Peach, by the way.
Well, let's just take everything out of the fridge again and start over. I hate cleaning the fridge, let alone twice in one hour. Urrrrgggh
But there is no use crying over spilled milk, or half and half or yogurt...
Up and Onward!
Edited to Add:
As I am mopping and moping I see this on my fridge and I start laughing. Because every time I read this note from Becky I can't help but laugh...
Hawley is lucky to have Becky and we are too.
Edited to add AGAIN:
So I clean the house and then decide to go to Safeway and get some groceries. It takes me a bit because I have two new recipes so I'm looking for all the ingredients.
When I get to checkout and start to unload the groceries I hear one of the Safeway employees come behind me.
Him-"Ma'am, excuse me, you have a trail of milk coming from your cart."
Me-"No surprise here."
Him-"Whoa, this is bad" as he runs for the paper towels and clean up crew.
Me-"Not surprised."
Him-"Oooh it's big leak coming from your milk."
Me-"Yep , it's a mess, not a surprise, but, yes, a mess."
Him-"We'll get you a new cake mix, milk and oh look at the cilantro, and the ice cream cartons, it's froze right on there."
Me-"No surprise here, it's been happening all day, just sorry to involve you."
Him, the Checker and the other boxer-"Ma'am, do you want carry out?"
Me-"No, but thanks, there is just no sense in all of us getting hit in the parking lot."
Him-"Yes ma'am, and thank you."
I drove home carefully and then washed all my groceries before I put them in my clean fridge.
Now I am going to go and have something to drink on the patio and it's not going to be MiLk!
No surprise there.

I think it may have been a "Faux Monday"...My day started with some unwelcome surprises too...Maybe this means Monday will be a "Faux Friday"....We can hope!!
Been there, spilled that! One wonders why we just don't go back to bed on a day like that! Love that you kept your sense of humor!!
Oh Tami. I'm laughing but just know I am oh-so-sorry! I love the Safeway part...taking out a sweet, young kid would have been just too much!
Woo Hoo,
I am not alone, and it usually is NOT my fault. So It pains me to hear that you have take it all on yourself.
Dairy Day is over for now.
Hope the new recipes go great.
Please post.
MM
You know, if only one bad thing had happened, you would have had not much to write about. It's only when it comes in multiples that it gets REALLY funny. (sorry, it really was funny to me because we've all been there, done that) My only observation is that you may be getting a message that you need to cut down on the dairy products. Being a farm girl, I'd say: just ignore that message.
It was a pleasure watcing over hawley; anytime! And now that you know that not just guys raid fridges... I'd like there to "always" be a lil piece of Heaven waiting for me.lol Had a Blast with you all last night, my sides hurt from laughing; love the common bond of our MOM's. DJ
My SIL was telling me about your post while we were in the car and she was laughing so hard she could hardly get the words out!!! There's a bright spot in every day and it was obvious that your post was it!!!! Hope you get to go "nowhere" soon!!!
I laughed so hard after reading this. We would have been a train wreck together on Friday for sure. Better we stay a part. Its better for everyone involved. :)
