Happy Birthday Max

Happy Birthday to Max!  Our baby turned 19 today.  Time flies when you're having fun! Cliche but true.  Max has been fun,  most  of  the  time.  His graduation is in two weeks.  After graduation Max will leave to work on the farm in Eastern Washington and then on to Walla Walla Community College in the Fall.  Max takes delight in reminding me that in less than three weeks he will be leaving and then he will come home for visits but won't live here.  And if everything goes according to his plan that is true.
Gulp.  It makes me a little teary.

But in the infamous words of Troy, "you don't want him 35 and still living upstairs!"  He told me that the first time Danny wasn't coming home for Christmas.  And Troy's right.

We do want our guys to get out there, shake the world and move on to bigger and better things.  It makes me excited and proud of Max that he has goals and is so focused.  Though it'd be nice if everyone could just slow down a bit.  To his credit, he has had this plan since he was four years old.  So, it's not like I didn't know it was coming, but it was fun and fast and here we are.

Happy Birthday kiddo!  I love you.  Lots.
