Kinda of Like Trading Spaces or Not

My friend Jolene has a travel trailer. I had fabric from a project that not only didn't get finished, it didn't get started. I had this fabric sitting around reminding me that that I had yet another unfinished project. Last summer we talked about doing a little trailer redecorating with my fabric.
We decided to freshen up the trailer with some slip covers. Don't even think it... we know, the curtains are next.
Have I ever reupholstered furniture, nope. Does Jolene sew? Do I sew? Did we have any idea of what we doing? Nope. Did that stop us? Nope.
The Before, brown plaid, so sad.
Shelly came to help us. Thanks goodness.
We used two flat sheets for the backs, one of the sofas had a triple fold. {Be IMPRESSed}
It took so much thinking to figure out how to get the lining where it had to be and the stripes where they had to be. Quite frankly, you have no idea. You practically had to be a genius to keep it all straight.
Last summer I found the leaves and vines and bug fabric at a garage sale. It was perfect for the dinette and coordinated nicely with the stripes.
My teeny tiny sewing machine is portable and we worked right in the trailer.
We had some good laughs, we had exactly enough fabric, like exactly enough, down to the half inch, we impressed ourselves, we know we aren't going into business, and we know we don't suffer from dementia.
I'm too blind to thread a needle, so every time the thread came out, Shelly had to rethread. And trust me, it was a lot!
The After, NiCe!
The slip covers can be removed for washing. We have some cute ideas for the curtains, maybe muslin or roller shades with dingle balls...
Happy Trails, Jo!

June 26 Favorite Color

My favorite color is green. Green in any shade or hue, I love green. I consider green a neutral. I love it in the house and outside in layers. I like to wear green too.

June 24 Love June 25 Citrus

Citrus is really kinda boring in the summer time... I have strawberries, watermelon, cantalope, fresh pineapple in the fridge. That said, I still have apples, bananas and oranges in the house. Hubby takes an orange and a banana in his lunch everyday. Max takes an orange in his lunch, when he's home.
LOVE the local fresh strawberries. They are gorgeous, delicious and juicy strawberries in season. Hubby and I love them and we are on our 3rd half flat. The girls at Barbie's Berry stand are impressed with us. New favorite 100 calorie snack is sliced strawberries with a serving of cool whip. YUM!
Waffles and strawberries for dinner tonight.
The photo challenge has been good for me. I have had to try new settings on the point and shoot. That said, I'm ready to be finished. My guys are comin' home and I cannot wait. I will be cooking and baking up a storm, lots of requests, lots of dinner guests, lots of fun comin' up!

June 23 Black & White

June 22 Landscape

The potato field has no growth, that we can see.
So, what looks like dirt is really a field ready to sprout.

Going?

The Retreat Vintage Market is this Saturday on Camano Island. I'm thinking about taking a mini road trip to check it out. Have any of my readers gone? Is anyone going tomorrow? Does anyone want to carpool?
The Barnhouse Boys will be there...

Tentatively,
